I edit with my PC laptop.  I take it everywhere.  I know I am not one of the cool kids with a mac but it does the job :)

I use Photoshop CS3 and lightroom 2.6

If you would have told me five years ago that I would quit my job as an elementary school music teacher and go into photography full time, I would have never believed it !  Sometimes the plans that God has for us are better than the plans we make for ourselves.  This journey has been unexpected and has saved me in so many ways.  I had been divorced for a short time and was needing to do something positive.  Needless to say, relationships were on the forefront of my mind and I had always taken pictures of my own five children.  A woman at my school asked if I would photograph her daughter's wedding and I thought, " I don't want to mess up. " She assured me that she had seen pictures I had taken of my kids for years and that I could do it.  Now, looking back, I truly believe God used her to see something in me that I had not seen in myself.  Because of her encouragement, I began my path of learning everything I could.  I read books, went to workshops, learned in online forums, and practiced, practiced, practiced. During this time, God used photography in my life to give me something I could do for other people that helped their families stay together.  I have always believed that one really special picture can renew a relationship and help you to remember why the people around you are a gift. I needed to see this, and what a blessing to be someone who could hold that mirror up and show people what love looks like :)

What an enormous blessing to be a part of this talented group of women !  They are my friends, support ,teachers, colleagues... the best women I know :)
